FSN Launches Website
83rd Anniversary of HE as a Discipline
 
The FSN will launch its website on November 10, 2004 to mark the 83rd anniversary of home economics as a discipline. The website shall contain information about the academic programs, admission to programs, the faculty and their research involvement and extension work for the last three years, and the staff line-up of the department. The website aims to provide the public with readily accessible information about its programs, faculty, researches, extension work and services offered. An interesting feature of the website is the newsroom wherein important events at the department shall be announced. This webpage shall be updated monthly. Mr. Jason Medina, a BSCN graduating student (1st semester SY 2004-05) is the webmaster of this website and has offered his services as a Pahinungod to the FSN Department.

   


November 12, 2004 is the 83rd anniversary of home economics as a discipline at UP Diliman. To mark this event, the College of Home Economics will launch the CHE Website, launch two books, present two professorial chair lectures and two creative works of its faculty on the 10th of November, 2004. The activity will start at 8:30 a.m. at the Tearoom. Sports events are also lined-up for its faculty, students and staff. The FSN Department, headed by it chair, Ma. Veritas F. Luna, will coordinate this year’s program.

100% Passing for ND Licensure Exam                  
 
The Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition (BSCN) graduates of the UP College of Home Economics (UPCHE) once again posted and maintained the 100 percent passing mark in the recent Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Board Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission on July 12 & 13, 2004 and garnered eight places in the top ten.
