Addressing Misconceptions in Science and Mathematics
 

This book is UP NISMED's contribution to the centennial celebration of the University of the Philippines.

 

Most of the misconceptions discussed in this book were those we have identified during teacher training sessions, observations of classes, and from studies we have conducted for the purpose of finding out what ideas teachers and students hold about concepts in science and mathematics. Most were presented on February 9-10, 2007 during the National Seminar-Workshop on Addressing Misconceptions organized by the Institute. This book is published in response to the requests of science and mathematics teachers, supervisors, and educators who attended the seminar-workshop.
