MONITORING AND EVALUATING PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS (MEPP)
Generally,
the course aims to develop the skills and knowledge of participants in
monitoring and evaluating project performance to ensure that the project
objectives are met and the required activities are undertaken.
Specifically,
at the end of the course, the participants will be able to:

Understand the principles and procedures in effective
project monitoring and evaluation;
ü
Develop skills in formulating appropriate indicators for
effective project monitoring and evaluation; and
ü
Formulate the project design matrix/logical framework
analysis.

Monitoring and Evaluation/

Workshop I: Monitoring and
Evaluation Issues, Goals, Purpose, Outputs, Inputs

Indicators for Monitoring and
Evaluation;
ü
Workshop II: Identification and
Selection of Key Indicators;
ü
Discussion and Refinements of
Indicators;
ü
Monitoring and Evaluation
Instruments;
ü
Workshop III: Designing M & E
Instruments;
ü
Presentation of Output;
ü
Course Integration/Evaluation
The course methodology is based on a participative
and action learning approach ad will use a combination of lecture discussion,
workshops, and case studies.
This
course is designed for development managers and officers/technical staff
of NGOs, PVOs, POs, and cooperatives
implementing IGPs or livelihood programs, as well as employees of government
and industrial extension workers.
