TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM) COURSE
RATIONALE
Total Quality Management is
closely associated with better quality products and services, higher
productivity, lower costs and more timely delivery. The bottom line is that companies that have successfully
implemented quality management programs are more profitable and competitive in
the marketplace than those that have not.

Quality Management

Quality Awards and Quality Certification
·
Total Quality Management Plan Preparation
The course aims to upgrade the
productivity and competitiveness of the participant’s enterprise through the
utilization of TQM principles.
At the end of the program, the
participants are expected to be able to:

Discuss the importance of quality;
q
Discuss the different approaches of TQM tools and
techniques;
q
Describe different ways of ensuring quality;
q
Enhance their capability to implement total quality system
in an enterprise or organization; and
q
Develop their awareness on the current trends in total
quality management and how successful TQM programs have been implemented and
the advantages of having successful TQM in the organization.
The
course is designed for owner-managers of SMEs, line managers and administrators
of production and service-oriented companies who are entrepreneurial in their
approaches in making the business viable.
COURSE
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered a
graduate of the course and be awarded a Certificate of Completion, the
participant should fulfill the following:

At least 80% attendance of total number of sessions.
·
Submission of a Total Quality Management Plan.
The
course will use a combination of lecture-discussion, group dynamics, case
studies, film showing and workshops.
Sessions will be conducted at the
3rd Floor of UPISSI.
