27 May 2003 Memorandum No. ERR-03-069 To: Deans, Directors, Department Chairs, College Secretaries, Faculty Members Subject: Absolute Deadline for Submission of Names for Graduating Students ----------------------------------------------------------------- It its April 23, 2003 meeting, the University Council resolved that starting Summer 2003, the deadline for submission of the names of graduating students to the Office of the University Registrar shall be strictly observed. Moreover, the University Council shall no longer grant authority to the University Registrar to make an addendum of candidates whose graduation has also been approved by the colleges but whose names could not be included in the list submitted to the University Council for approval because of some deficiencies. In other words the University Council shall recommend to the Board of Regents the graduation only of those students whose names appear in the list presented before the Council during the Council Meeting. The graduating students who miss the deadline will be acted on by the Council in its next meeting. Please be advice all faculty members of the need to submit grades on time. EMERLINDA R.
