Subject: The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165)

Attached is a copy of a letter from the Philippine Drug Enforcement 
 Agency Compliance Service informing us that RA 9165 otherwise 
 known as "The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002" 
 has repealed RA 6425, as amended, also known as the Dangerous 
 Drugs Act of 1972. Under the new law, license/permit is needed 
 to deal in dangerous drugs and controlled precursors and 
 essential chemicals.

Units involved in research needing dangerous drugs or controlled 
 chemicals for laboratory use are advice to secure a license from 
 the Philippine Drug enforcement Agency
