Subject: Payment of PTA Fees

We wish to remind all concerned that in compliance with the law 
 on free elementary and secondary education, the University of 
 the Philippines does not charge UPIS student tuition.

The PTA in a private association organized primarily to assist the school 
 and its students. Any arrangement or program that the PTA may have such 
 as the charging of PTA fees is a matter between the parents/students and 
 the association and is outside of UP jurisdiction

Any question on the payment of PTA fees should thus be directed to the 
 officer of the Association who should clarify the nature and purposes of 
 the PTA fees
