To: All Deans, Directors, Head of Units, Faculty Members, Students

Subject: Freshman Welcome Assembly

The Freshman Assembly for Academic Year 2005-2006 will be held on
 Tuesday, June 7, 2--5 at the UP Theater. In this connection classes for 
 freshmen will be suspended the whole day on June 7 to enable them to  attend the assembly.

We are scheduling two assembles- one in the morning at 8:00 A.M. (for all
 colleges except the Colleges of Science, Engineering and Social
 Sciences and Philosophy) and another in the afternoon at 1:00 P.M. (for
 the above mentioned colleges).

Upperclassmen who are assisting or who are involved in the
 Freshman Welcome Assemly such as cadet officers, coprs of sponsors,
 members of student organizations, and performers, are excused from their
 classes for the day. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Students
 Affairs (OVCSA) will issue certification of attendance to students who
 will asists in this activity.
