o: All Deans, Directors, Head of Units, Faculty Members, Students

Subject: Freshman Welcome Assembly

The Freshman Assembly for Academic Year 2006-2007 will be held on Tuesday, 
 June 13, 2006 at the UP Theater. In this connection classes for freshmen 
 will be suspended the whole day on June 13 to enable them to  attend the 
 assembly as well as orientation programs in their respective colleges.

We are scheduling two assemblies- one in the morning at 8:00 A.M. (for all
 colleges except the Colleges of Science, Engineering and Social
 Sciences and Philosophy) and another in the afternoon at 1:00 P.M. (for
 freshmen of the above specified colleges).

Profesors of Upperclassmen who are assisting or who are involved in the
 Freshman Welcome Assemly such as cadet officers, corps of sponsors,
 members of student organizations, and performers, are requested  to 
 excused said studnets from their classes for the day. The Office of the 
 Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs (OVCSA) will issue certification 
 of attendance to students who will asists in this activity.
