To: All faculty members and staff concerned

Subject: Processing of Senior Citizens ID Card in HRDO, Quezon Hall

We are pelased to inform you that the office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) 
 in Quezon City Hall has granted our request to process in UP HRDO the Senior 
 Citizens ID (SC ID) of our faculty and staff. The SC ID may be used to avail 
 of privileges such as the following:

1. Free medical and dental services and diagnostic and laboratory fees in all 
 government facilities, subject to the guidelines of the Deprtment of Health, 
 in coordination with Philhealth;

2. Twenty percent (20%) discount on all prices of goods and services offered 
 to the general public, medical and dental services in private facilites, public 
 land transportation, air and sea transportation, and admission fees charged by 
 theaters, cinema houses, concert halls, carnivals, and other similar places of 
 culture, leisure and amusement;

3. Exemption from payment of the individual income taxes, subject to certain conditions;

4. Exemption from training fees for socio-economic programs conducted by private 
 and government agencies subject to the guidelines of the Department of Trade and 
 Industry and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority;

5. Educational assistance to pursue post secondary, post tertiary, as well as vocational 
 or technical education in both public and private schools through provision of 
 scholarships, grants, financial aid, subsidies and other incentives to qualified senior
 citizens; and

6. Express lane in all private, commercial and government establishments, and others.

We therefore enjoin all concerned to get their application forms from HRDO and submit their
 completed forms. The OSCA will schedule a visit to said office to facilitate the processing.
