Dr. Pamela C. Constantino has a Ph.D in Philippine Studies (Psycholinguistics, Sociolinguistics, History) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She is a professor at the Department of Filipino and Philippine Literature in the College of Arts and Letters, and twice served as its Chairperson. She is currently the Vice Chair of the National Committee on Language and Translation of the National Commission for Culture and Arts, and is a member of the Technical Committee for Filipino of the Commission on Higher Education.

Among Dr. Constantino's research and publications are various scholarly works on the Filipino language, culture and society. She has served as editor and coordinator of different book projects on language, linguistics, and literature in Filipino. Her professional awards include the Oscar Cariño Professorial Chair; Gawad Cecilio Lopez Para sa Pananaliksik sa Wika, Federico Alcuaz Professorial Chair, the G.E. Professorial Chair, and the Diamond Jubilee Faculty Grant. Among her professional organizations are the National Research Council of the Philippines, Pambansang Samahan ng Wika, Literary League of the Philippines, UP Folklorists, Philippine Folklore Society, and Sanggunian sa Filipino or SANGFIL, which is an organization of Filipino Departments in public and private universities nationwide, of which she was President from 1998 - 2003.

Dr. Constantino does consultancy work with the DepEd, Philippine Federation for the Deaf, Kabayan Newspaper, Mauban Community College, and the Manila Times School of Journalism. She was coordinator of the CAL Summer Philippine Studies Program on Language Lessons, and of the UP-Northern Territory University Filipino Studies Program in Darwin, Australia. Her visiting research-professorships include the Institute for the Study of Language and Cultures of Asia and Africa at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Universitas Nasional at Jakarta, Indonesia, and Universiti Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As an active member of the academe, Dr. Constantino worked in various ad hoc and regular committees, include the G.E. Council, the University Council Committee on Instruction, the University Library Board, the Chancellor's Ad Hoc Committee to Study the Feasibility of Instituting an Associate in Arts / Associate in Science Program for UP Diliman, the Committee to Review Undergraduate Programs, the Diliman Committee on Arts and Culture, and the UP Language Policy Committee.

Heidi Emily Eusebio-Abad is an Associate Professor at the Department of English and Comparative Literature, College of Arts and Letters. She earned her BA English (Imaginative Writing) and M.Ed. Special Education degrees from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She served as the department's Assistant Chairperson and Assistant to the Chair in previous years. She also headed the department's Guidance and Evaluation Committee for several years and is currently the Coordinator of the General Education Committee.

Prof. Abad is an active member of the academe, both as classroom teacher and as member of various committees of the University. She is also an author of children's stories and poetry. Some of her books are Of Jars and Weaves, Terraces and Beads : Icons of our Living Culture; Polliwog's Wiggle, which was a finalist in the 2006 BDAP Gintong Aklat Award for Children's Literature; Magnificent Pearl; Colorless Rainbow; Ball of Wax; and Abot Mo Ba Ang Tainga Mo? which won the 2002 BDAP Gintong Aklat Award for Children's Literature. Her other awards include the G.E. Professorial Chair and the Jose Joya Professorial Chair. She was also a Ford-Rockefeller Grantee. Prof. Abad is a member of the Association for English Research and Teaching in the Philippines, the National Research Council of the Philippines, and the Kwentista ng mga Tsikiting, an organization of writers for children and young adults.
