  Purposes:

a.) To ensure that every G.E. course meets the program objectives, modes of inquiry and competencies; and

b.) To ensure that the domains of knowledge contain a healthy mix of disciplines.

Domains of Knowledge

Requirements:
  1. Every G.E. course, existing or to be instituted, must satisfy at least three of the objectives, apply at least one mode of inquiry and develop the skills/competencies listed above.
  2. A G.E. course must not have a prerequisite, except if taken as part of a cluster.
  3. The total number of G.E. units is 45, six (6) of which must be in Philippine Studies from any of the domains.
  4. Academic units that offer G.E. courses must take into account the attributes of the ideal G.E. faculty.
