FOR: ALL DEANS & BUILDING ADMINISTRATORS

RE: ANTI-DENGUE CLEAN-UP

Effective immediately, all building administrators are required to file a report with the OVCCA due by 22 August 2005 and every first week of the month thereafter, specifically containing their efforts to accomplish the following in coordination with the Janitorial Crew of their buildings:

  1. Checking and ensuring that empty receptacles of rainwater are cleaned and/or properly disposed of;
  2. Inspecting and causing the trimming of water-holding plants around and inside their buildings;
  3. Ensuring proper disposal of garbage so as to avoid retention of water while uncollected;
  4. Searching and remediating all possible breeding places of mosquitoes inside and within the immediate vicinity of their buildings.
  5. Providing paraphernalia and water-based insecticides for spraying by the janitorial crew during their regular Saturday clean –up.

The OVCCA will coordinate with City Hall for water-based spraying of outdoor areas of the campus and with the residents’ associations for canal clean-up in the drive against Dengue.
