ANNOUNCEMENT!
Application/renewal forms for recognition of university-based student
organizations are now available at the Office of Student Activities
|
The Office of Student Activities (OSA) has a two-pronged program: the General Program for Student Organizations
and the International Student Program. Established in 1993, OSA was the
fusion of the Student Activity Center (SAC) and International Students Program
(ISP).
Through its General Program for Student Organizations, the
OSA:
=> processes applications for University recognition
=> processes applications for and awards tambayans
=> facilitates meetings/joint activities/exchange of ideas among student
organizations
=> endorses requests for funding and use of University facilities
=> approves posting of activity/promo materials
=> disseminates information on student activities, awards, contests
=> provides administrative and support to the Philippine Collegian Editorial
Examinations and University Student
Council Elections
The OSA also attends to the special needs of about 223 international students
from more than 25 countries enrolled in UP Diliman, through its International
Students Program (ISP). Specifically, the OSA assists international students
regarding admission, visas, study permits, housing and other requirements, and
keeps track of their academics and progress. It organizes activities such as:
=> orientation program
=> country tours, visits and receptions
=> host family programs and
=> informal language sessions
