The Office of Student Housing (OSH) implements the policies and guidelines approved by the
Board of Regents
on student housing. It is responsible for the management and regulation of residence halls or dormitories in UP
Diliman. It also maintains a list of houses accepting boarders and lodgers on campus.
There are ten (10) residence halls on the Diliman campus, one for men - Narra Residence
Hall; four for women -
Ilang-Ilang, Kamia, Sampaguita, and
Sanggumay Residence
Halls; and five co-educational residence halls - Ipil
( for graduate students), Kalayaan
(for freshmen), Molave
(for sophomores), Yakal
( for upperclassmen) and the
International Center (for foreign students, with a limited number of its rooms for Filipino
students).
Beds, mattresses, study tables, chairs and lockers are provided in residence halls. Residents supply their own
beddings. These halls are within walking distance to the colleges.
Reservations in the residence halls are on a first-come-first-served basis. Immediately upon receipt of
notification of admission, a student desiring to stay in a residence hall should file an application for acceptance in
an appropriate hall. Inquiries regarding a particular hall should be addressed to the Residence Head.
