What’s UP?is jointly published by the UP Diliman Information Office (UPDIO) and the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) under the Office of the Chancellor, UP Diliman, Quezon City. What’s UP accepts announcements of any activity on campus. Copy should not exceed 500 words, and must contain the following: title of event, description, date and time of activity, sponsoring group/organization, contact numbers and ticket prices, if applicable. Photos and images will also be accepted, provided these are in jpeg format, with 300 dpi and not exceeding 5 inches in size. Email copy and images separately to updio@up.edu.ph . Announcements should be forwarded at least one month prior to the activity’s schedule.

Lineage of Mentors: The National Artists for the Visual Arts of the University of the Philippines: is an art exhibit featuring the works of the nine National Artists for Visual Arts from UP namely: Fernando Cueto Amorsolo, Guillermo Estrella Tolentino, Carlos Villaluz Francisco, Napoleon Veloso Abueva, Vicente Silva Manansala, Cesar Torrente Legaspi, José Tanig Joya, Benedicto Reyes Cabrera and Abdulmari Asia Imao. The works are from the collections of the University and the National Museum of the Philippines. The exhibit is held at the Hall of National Artists for Visual Arts at the 2nd level of the National Art Gallery, National Museum, Manila. It runs from June 11 until the end of December 2008.read more

100 Nudes, 100 Years is an art exhibit sponsored by UP Alumni Association: Seventy-nine alumni artists are featured in the collection led by the nine National Artists for Visual Arts mentored and nurtured at the College of Fine Arts.read more

Centennial Concert >>

Pamantasang Hirang: is a multi-media concert that looks back as a loving tribute at the history, the personages, the customs and traditions of the University through an insightful, entertaining, informative and engrossing format. The concert brings together music and song, poetry and language, thought and emotion, mixed with audio-visual elements, and delivered by talents from both the pop and classical fields who are products of the University. The show is directed by Alex Cortez and runs from June 18 to 20 at the Main Theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
