This is the website of an ASIA-LINK human resource development (HRD) project that aims to create a regional exchange consortium of three universities whose purpose is to develop teaching skills in Banking and Finance and to engage in collaborative research on the issue of safety and efficiency of the financial system. The members of the consortium are  the University of Limoges (France; project coordinating institution) the University of the Philippines, the University of Birmingham (UK) and the University of Poitiers (France; an associate institution). The project is funded by the European Commission through its ASIA-LINK Programme, and the member institutions.

The goal of the project is in line with the view that human resources development is an integral part of developing the financial system in the Philippines. With this in mind, a training programme has been designed that comprises both education and research and targets postgraduate students, junior and senior banking and finance educators in educational institutions in the main U.P. campus located in Metro Manila and in the four strategic autonomous U.P. campuses (U.P. Baguio, U.P. Los BaƱos, U.P. Visayas and U.P. Mindanao).

The links at the left above give the details on the planned seminars/training programmes and their schedules, the research agenda, and the people involved in the project's activities, while the links at the right provide information on what has been accomplished, the on-going activities and what needs to be done until the end of the project.
