UP NISMED undertakes programs and projects on curriculum development, teacher training, research and extension in collaboration with various local and international agencies, organizations and institutions. Here is a list of ongoing projects and cooperating institutions.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

DepED Video Lessons

UP NISMED produces video lessons for the Department of Education’s project, Enhancement Materials (Video Lessons) in Science I. The 20-minute video lessons aim to enhance the understanding of science concepts and principles in a more interactive and interesting learning medium. The DepEd identified and provided the Institute with the list of difficult topics, skills, and learning competencies that should be emphasized in this Project.

The video lessons are presented in segments such that, there are pauses and cues to allow teacher-student interaction. This ensures that students remain attentive and consequently, able to process the lesson more easily.
