GeoGebra is a free dynamic mathematics software that relates arithmetic, geometry, algebra and calculus. It offers geometric, algebraic and tabular representations of mathematical objects, all of which are dynamically linked.

This course will focus on the basics of GeoGebra, and how to integrate it in teaching high school mathematics. It will include the following topics:

• basic geometric drawing and construction

• exploration of properties of geometric figures

• use of algebraic input to construct graphs and mathematical objects

• use of sliders in investigating family of functions and geometric transformations

• construction of stand-alone web-based worksheets

This course is open to all high school and college mathematics teachers.

The seminar-workshop will be conducted for a minimum of 15 participants. UP NISMED has the right to cancel the seminar-workshop if the minimum number of participants has not been met.
