TRAINING INVITATION

The German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ) through the framework of  the Small and Medium Enterprise Development for Sustainable Employment Program (SMEDSEP) and in partnership with the University of the Philippines – Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP-ISSI) is jointly  implementing a project on Institutionalization of SME Finance Training among rural banks and thrift banks in the Philippines

SMEDSEP is under the Sustainable Economic Development program of the German government focusing on Small-, and Medium-sized Enterprises that are considered to be the engine of growth in developing countries.

GTZ has commissioned GFA Consulting Group GmbH (Germany) to provide technical supervision for the delivery of training programs to financial institutions in the Philippines. GFA has developed the following Creation of Competence for Competition (C³) training package based on 20 years of experience gained from around the world.  This experience demonstrate that  financing institutions  with development orientation are  critical  stakeholders in  the growth of a country.

SMEDSEP has already implemented five C3 training products that were participated by 50 rural banks and thrift banks in the Visayas. These training products are handed over by GFA to UP-ISSI (the  Training Service Provider on SME finance supported by the German Technical Corporation A series of Training of Trainers (ToTs) cum  coaching have been implemented to prepare the pool of trainers for the roll out for a nation-wide coverage. The pool of trainers were selected on the basis of their  many years  of experience in two or more areas in banking, bank coaching skills  and   entrepreneurship development .

UP-ISSI is now inviting participants to the C³ CREDIT and the C³ SME FINANCE which are providing a proven solution for building up quality credit portfolios and increasing the operational efficiency of financial institutions by Enhancing Access to SME Finance and building a Profitable SME Lending Business. C³ CREDIT has been designed for loan officers and staff of financial institutions involved in Credit appraisal and C³ SME FINANCE is specially designed for bank executives to get a deeper understanding in SME Finance.

The C³ CREDIT Seminar will take 10 days.

Training fee for C³ CREDIT is 25,000 PHP per participant inclusive of 2 snacks and lunch per day. A complete set of hand outs will also be provided. A lower training fee is possible if the bank association prefer to collectively manage some costs. For details please contact the Training Department of UP-ISSI.

The presidents/owners of the banks, upon prior arrangement with the trainers, may be allowed to come to the 10-day seminar as observers.

The C³ SME FINANCE Seminar for bank executives is laid out for one day.
