Jocelyn Timbol-Guadalupe, Assistant Professor, Music Education Department, College of Music, University of the Philippines. Aside from teaching early childhood music methods, special projects in music education and research methods in music education, she performs regularly as harpsichordist of Musika Sophia, an early music ensemble performing renaissance and baroque music, incidental music to puppetry as well as Philippine folk music performed on recorder, strings and continuo. Recent publications include “Philippine Bamboo Instruments and Partner Songs for Grades 2 and 5” Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, Indonesia (2009), Online Philippine Secondary Education Curriculum Modules(2009), Elementary Special Program for the Arts Music Curriculum (2009), Integrated Thematic Units in Social Studies and Music for Grades 1-6. (2008). Currentl, she is involved in developing a standardized tertiary music achievement test in the Philippines, a dictionary of Philippine musical terms and multi-sensorial music modules for basic education.
