REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATE ADMISSION
(as of June AY 2006-07)


1) A Bachelor of Music (BM) degree, or its equivalent, from a fully accredit institution. Each applicant must submit a diploma or an equivalent document.
2) An original copy of the transcript of records (undergraduate, graduate work, if any) and a duplicate copy.
3) Accomplished Application forms for admission (UPD-GPMu Form No. 1) in duplicate copy.
4) Accomplished recommendation forms from at least two (2) professors or experts in your field (UPD-GPMu Form No. 2).
5) A cumulative grade average of 2.0 (B) or better in the undergraduate work.
6) Interview with the graduate advisor of the intended major area to determine specific requirements in the intended area.
7) Talent audition in the major instrument or voice which is scheduled on _________ (see Admission Schedule). Applicants living abroad or in distant provinces are encouraged to send a video (VHS, beta, Video 8, VCD) or cassette recording of the applicant’s repertoire early before the scheduled audition at the College of Music.
8) Proof of English and/or Filipino proficiency for students whose native language is not English or Filipino. For English proficiency, a score of at least 500 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required.
9) For prospective Music Education and Musicology majors, one academic writing sample (15-20 pages).
10) Three (3) copies of recent passport size photos
11) Application Fee
12) Graduate Placement Exam
13) Panel Interview with the Graduate Program Committee
14) Xerox copy of NSO Birth Certificate
