KITHARA QUARTET
The "Kithara Quartet" is a professional performing group made up of 4 very promising and young musicians coming from U.P. Although each member is a professional musician in their own rights, these four new talents have come up to work together to perform and promote classical guitar music. Their repertoire ranges from Baroque to Contemporary Music. The group recently featured in their debut concert on March 13 and were featured artists at the Thursday evening concert series in the U.P. college of music, on April 28 - May 3, Kithara is also scheduled to conduct a five day workshop culminating in a concert for the U.P. Baguio Summer Arts festival, Kithara also plans to perform in U.P.L.B. and other campuses and universities around the country. Kithara has performed in C.C.P. and is also scheduled to perform in Paco Park Presents this may.

Franco Moscardon Maigue - Having joined the quartet while still in
his senior year in high-school, He is the youngest of the group. Coming from
a family of highly talented and respected musicians, this young guitarist
has been seen as a prodigy recently represented the U.P. College of Music
in the NAMCYA national competition held in C.C.P., wining the 2nd prize, no
1st prize was awarded. He has performed numerous solo recitals in venues such
as the Abelardo Hall and The Intramuros Walls.

Enesto Juan Zuñiga Delgado "E.J."- A graduate of the U.P. College of Music, E.J. is a prize-winning guitarist having won in the 1999 "Gitara" competition sponsored by the Spanish embassy. A prolific musician in his own right, he has many albums to his credit and numerous recordings with the countries top artists. He is the guitarist for groups such as The Radio Active Sago Project, Puro Ritmo and Bo Razon. His performances have taken him around the country and he has performed for different embassies and also for the President of the Philippines.

Ivar-Nicholas Fojas "Barney" - Obtained his Bachelors degree in Music from the UP College of Music under English Maestro Graham Roberts, Maestro Jose Valdez. He has worked with numerous ensemble groups such as Tres Picos and the UP Guitar Orchestra, having appeared on televised concerts, he also performs regularly as a solo guitarist. Barney also teaches at the College of Music Extensions Program.

Nobel Queaño - Also coming from the U.P. College of Music, he also has degree in Psychology from U.P., Nobel is a guitarist for the A.M. duo which have been featured artists for Paco Park Presents. He performs regularly as a solo guitarist and other professional ensembles, Nobel has performed in Europe and the Americas with the Manila Trio and he continues teach guitar at the Miriam College music center and Collegio de San Agustin.
