MUSIC MUSEUM

The College opened on 4 February 1991 a Museum of Philippine and Asian traditional
instruments. The concept of the Music Museum is that of an active and living one where the musical instruments are not mere displays but are made to come alive through live performances and audio-video presentations. Moreover, the museum is a venue for the MusiKolokya (under the Musicology Department) --an ongoing series of interdisciplinary fora on the subject of expressive culture, in particular, on music-culture-- and for various types of exhibits such as displays of original Philippine music manuscripts and memorabilias of Filipino composers.
