MASTER IN ARTS (M.A.) in URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING
There are two options in taking the M.A. program in Urban and
Regional Planning: Plan A and Plan B.
[Diploma-level subjects + one (1) 3 unit-subject* + thesis]
[Diploma-level subjects + five (5) 3-unit subjects* + comprehensive
examination)]
*Students may choose from the menu of
subjects in the fields of Urban and Regional Planning, Housing,
Transportation Planning, and Environmental Planning identified by
the School.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D.)
in URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING
The Ph.D. program is designed to equip the students with the
knowledge and specialized skills appropriate for planning and
planning-related positions in the academe, government and
private sectors. The program requires completion of the course
in Urban and Regional Planning at the M.A. level plus the
following:

MS REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
PLANNING
The Masters in Science in Regional
Development Planning, or the
SPRING Program,
is a joint offering of SURP and the
University of Dortmund in Germany,
focusing on regional and district development planning, with
emphasis on rural areas.
The two-year program runs for one year at the University of Dortmund
and another year at the University of the Philippines.
