Orientation for SURP students

23 June 2009---The UP School of Urban and Regional Planning, led by Dean Candido A. Cabrido, Jr. and the rest of School officials, faculty and staff members, welcomed the new graduate students in an orientation program held at the Firmalino Room.

Dr. Marideth R. Bravo, Director of Graduate Studies, presented the new SURP Curricular Revisions which will be applied to the new students of Academic Year 2009-2010.  Dr. Bravo also gave a briefing on the programs and policies of the School. A total of fifty (50) new students were accepted for the graduate programs at the UP SURP for the Academic Year 2009 – 2010.  

Dr. Jesusa Catabui and another representative from the Public Health Unit of the UP Health Service presented important information and local policies regarding the Influenza A (H1N1) Virus.    

The Orientation program ended with a Briefing and Guided Tour of the School Library, which was facilitated by Ms. Victoria Guanzon, the Head Librarian.
