 Batangas City Project Contract Signing

November 3, 2008--- Batangas City Mayor Eduardo B. Dimacuha and Dean Candido A. Cabrido Jr., President of UP PLANADES, signed a contract for the updating of the city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Comprehensive Development Plan (CLUP/CDP).

 

The UP PLANADES also prepared Batangas City’s existing CLUP and CDP in 1997, and about 75% of said plans have been

implemented , as per preliminary assessment of City Planning and Development Coordinator (CPDC) Engr. Januario B. Godoy.

 

UP PLANADES Executive Director, Dr. Benjamin V. Carino; designated Team Leader and Transportation Planner, Dr. Cresencio M. Montalbo Jr; City Legal Officer Atty. Teodulfo A. Deguito; City Accountant Ms. Simplicia D. Mendoza; and CPDC Godoy, among others, witnessed the contract signing.

 

The UP Planning and Development Research Foundation or UP PLANADES is the School’s research and extension arm and is concurrently headed by the Dean of the UP SURP.

PLANADES FELLOWSHIP NIGHT

 

October 23, 2008---The UP PLANADES sponsored a fellowship night as a way of thanking the members, partners, and supporters of the Foundation.

The get-together was held as part of the 43rd founding anniversary of the University of the Philippines School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP SURP).
