Call for Papers

This Call for Papers maps out Kasarinlan’s editorial priorities for 2004-5. The following are the themes for the forthcoming issues:

• Vol. 21, No. 1 (2006): Human Security
• Vol. 21, No. 2 (2006): Social Movements
• Vol. 22, No. 1 (2007): Migration
• Vol. 22, No. 2 (2007): Culture and Identity
• Vol. 23, No. 1 (2008): Contentious Politics

These themes reflect the Third World Studies Center’s current research interests.

Kasarinlan has three main sections: scholarly articles, short opinion pieces, and reviews. There will be six refereed articles, selected for their relevance to the theoretical and empirical issues of the theme. The short opinion pieces will focus on a controversial policy issue.The review section contains reviews of books, films, websites and other information sources.
