It aims to promote sports and fitness activities for the health and general well-being of the University’s faculty, students and staff as well as to support the needs of the UP Track and Field Varsity Team.
The MOA was signed by UPD Chancellor Caesar A. Saloma and Francisco C. Cayetano Jr., Runnex chairman and president, together with Atty. Rodolfo B. Through the MOA, Runnex agrees to provide the track and field team with “athletic uniforms, scholarship grants, meal and travel allowances, and otherwise financial assistance for food and lodging, medicines and rehabilitation services to enhance their team competitiveness in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.”
The University, for its part, shall grant the Runnex club “the privilege of conducting its regular Sunday morning Running Clinics in the UP Diliman campus, subject to University policies, rules and regulations on, specifically but not limited to, the use of the University premises, utilities and security matters.”
The agreement is valid for one year and may be renewed under terms and conditions mutually agreed upon by both parties.
