Jazz concert inaugurates Beta Theatrum

The renovated Beta Theatrum opens to the public with a jazz concert at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24.

Refurbished jointly by the Office of the Chancellor and the Beta Epsilon Fraternity, the open air theater at the Lagoon behind the University Amphitheater will also be turned over to UP Diliman as the newest operational performance and cultural venue on campus.

The launching concert entitled “JAZZ” features performances by the UP Percussion Ensemble and the Camerata Jazz, capping the month-long activities welcoming the freshmen. The event is in line with the audience and venue development efforts of the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) under the Office of the Chancellor.

Admission is free.
