Josiah Theodore Cacayan topped the ASEAN Disciples of Escoffier Young Talent Competition 2013 held last June 22, 2013 at Savoy Bistro in Makati City.  Theo is a B.S. Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management senior student from the College of Home Economics in the University of the Philippines Diliman. The competition was organized by the Disciples of Escoffier Philippine Delegation, a non-profit organization attached to the World Wide roster of the prestigious Disciples Escoffier International instituted in 1960 by no less than the father of French cookery, Auguste Escoffier.  Today, there are nearly 24,000 members across the globe, which are mostly culinary professionals and hospitality industry practitioners. Theo will be competing against representatives of seven ASEAN countries in Hong Kong this September for the Disciples Escoffier Young Talent International Competition. —College of Home Economics
