(June 17)—A contingent of some 22 Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets from all over the USA came to UPD for a short visit as part of an exchange program between the Philippines and the US.

On their visit to UPD, the cadets conducted discussions on combat safety and training at the Department of Military Science and Tactics’ Vanguard Building and did a tour of UPD’s facilities.

The cadets are part of the ROTC Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency Program (CULP), which was conducted “in the principle of improving the cultural immersion and awareness, building language proficiency, broadening humanitarian assistance and enhancing the English language skills of the participants from host nations.”
