Call for Nominations to the College of Human Kinetics (CHK) Deanship

The College of Human Kinetics (CHK) Deanship Nomination Committee shall accept nominations from 9:00 AM of 19 March 2012 to 5:00 PM of 13 April 2012.

Please submit the following documents (in both printed copies with original signatures as appropriate and soft copies in CD-ROM or USB drive) within office hours to Ms. Sorina Franco, Administration Office, UP School of Library and Information Studies, 3/F Gonzales Hall, UP Main Library, UP Diliman, Quezon City (Telefax: 981-8500 locals 2869 to 2871):

  1. Nomiator(s)’ signed nomination letter containing the justification for the nomination (please include current contact details of the (first) nominator);

  2. Nominee’s summarized curriculum vitae;

  3. Nominee’s signed letter of acceptance of nomination stating willingness to serve as Dean; and

  4. Nominee’s plans for the unit, in broad terms, to include his/her flagship programs and ideas for a smooth transition.

All letters shall be addressed to:

College of Human Kinetics Deanship Nomination Committee

UP School of Library and Information Studies, UP Diliman

 

Who May Nominate: Personnel of the College, its students and alumni, others from outside the College, interested candidates.

Who May be Nominated: The nominee need not be a faculty member at the time of nomination. Should s/he be appointed, s/he must have a faculty appointment. The nominee must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  1. Commitment to academic freedom and the values and ideals of the University;

  2. Distinction or outstanding academic credentials in the nominee’s chosen field of expertise which should be along the lines of CHK’s disciplines or fields;

  3. Filipino citizen;

  4. Leadership qualities and administrative or managerial capability;

  5. Must be willing to serve; and,

  6. Must consider resource generation an important function of the position.
