(June 1)—The National Institute of Physics (NIP), in a simple ceremony at the NIP Lecture Pavillion Lobby on May 25, expressed their gratitude to individuals, government institutions and companies who have significantly and generously contributed in the development of physics in the University.
The donors’ support came in the form of equipment donation, research and scholarship grants, and monetary assistance for the completion of the NIP complex.
NIP director Dr. Arnel Salvador said the donors enabled them to have infrastructure that is conducive to learning and research, and in providing the highest level of education and training to NIP students.
In attendance during the event were representatives from Sun Power Corporation, Hitachi GST Philippines - A Western Digital Company, and the Philippine-American Academy of Science and Engineering.
Immediately after the ceremony, the guests were ushered to the NIP Research Wing for the inauguration of the Hitachi Metrology Laboratory.
